Welcome! Did you ever think how wonderful it might be if we could talk to our animals, to know what they were thinking, to ask them how they were and to find out why they do what they do. Back to reality, sadly we cannot. However perhaps there is a way that we can find out what our creature friends are thinking.We here at Summersville, Fl., are dedicated to the protection and health of creatures and pets. Our goal is to keep our human friends informed of the latest news in the world of Animals. Whether it be your pet Golden Retriever or a bird in the wild facing extinction. My name is K. Dexter Summers. I have had a lifetime hobby of enjoying animals of all kinds. I have cared for them and loved them going on 60 plus years. Now in the autumn of my life, I will strive to keep those that I can safe, happy and healthy.I would like to share my “University of Hard Knox” learning with you and perhaps we can find a solution for a problem that you may have with your special friend.
I grew up with the “Indians of Florida” and spent much time learning about their respect for creatures and some of their remedies for their health. I am not, nor do I claim to be a Veterinarian. My knowledge is based on my experience and believable information that came across my turf.I hope that you will find “Animal-Corner” useful and perhaps you will be able to find and answer to a question that you have had about your special friend. I would like to share my experiences with you and show you some of the wildlife and pets that I have had the honor of sharing space with.We will be investigating the “domestic pet world” and the “wild critter world.” Domestic pets are special in their own way. Even though we may love all of our pets, we will still be a little bit fonder of a special few. These pets and other critters become attached to our way of life and contribute in some way to our decision making. Domestic Pets In this series we will be investigating the types and then different breeds of domesticated pets. We will look at peculiar attitudes and behavior of these creatures. Of course there are so many types and breeds that it would be difficult to list them all, but we will certainly try to cover as many of them as we can. Those that we may miss right now will be covered as they are brought to our attention by our members.
